ISCAT, founded in 2007, is an accredited British International School offering the National Curriculum of England and Wales from Early Years through to Key Stage 5.

Situated just 30 minutes from central Barcelona, ISCAT comprises three buildings located on a single campus:

  • Blancafort - Early Years and Key Stage 1
  • Manuel Raspall – Key Stage 2 (Upper Primary)
  • Xavier Calls – Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 (Secondary)

Our mission is to offer a stimulating, engaging and challenging multicultural environment where the intellectual, emotional and creative potential of each student is optimised and respected.

Through our unique educational programme, we are committed to creating an environment free from discrimination, where passion for learning is fostered, and where the cultural heritage of each member of our community is a source of learning, enrichment and personal growth. Integrity, respect and responsibility are the cornerstones on which our students build a future as tolerant, open-minded world citizens and independent thinkers.

In keeping with our fundamental belief that each student should feel respected and valued for what he or she can uniquely offer, ISCAT offers Emotional Education as a subject at all levels. This is complemented by our Forest Schools pedagogy in Primary, and the Duke of Edinburgh International Award in Key Stage 4 (Secondary). With the focus on increased self-esteem, maintaining the balance between the emotional and academic growth of our students creates a climate where maximum personal potential can be achieved.

ISCAT has been officially registered by UNICEF as a Rights Respecting School and we are working towards our Level 1 award across the school.
