Director


Noreen Loughman


Noreen has 24 years international school experience in Spain, the Netherlands and Switzerland. She holds a Masters Degree from the United Kingdom in Primary Education, specifically in curriculum design and developmental psychology. Noreen is fluent in Spanish and French, with a growing ability in Catalan, and adequate skills in Dutch, German and Italian.

‘My values as an educator are centred around a social constructivist model in which students are continually building their own understanding based on their previous experiences and prior knowledge. My experience as a teacher and administrator, together with the extensive studies and research projects which I have undertaken throughout my career, have shaped this approach.'

 

 

Teachers



 

Linda Burton begins her third year at ISCAT this year. Linda is British and has fourteen years previous teaching experience in Primary schools in England, Oman and Japan. Her most recent post was in Yokohama where she taught for four years. Linda has a Masters Degree in Primary Education from the United Kingdom.

 

 

 

 

Chloé Remy has been teaching at ISCAT for four years. Chloé is French and qualified as a Nursery school teacher in England. She has previously worked for two years in a bilingual Nursery School in South London. Chloé has responsibility for the youngest children in the school.

 

 

 

 

Gillian Foster is British, born in Scotland where she obtained her degree in Primary Education in Edinburgh. In addition she has a BA Hons. degree in Drama and Music from Cardiff. She has 3 years teaching experience in Scotland. She is responsible for our Year 2 class and is the Deputy Head.

 

 

 

 

portraitLizzie Evans is British. She has an honours degree in Primary Education from Sheffield Hallam University. Lizzie has 8 years of teaching experience in the United KIngdom. She is the class teacher of our oldest group of children, Year 5/6 and she is responsible for Information Technology throughout the school.

 

 

 

 

PortaitCiara Long is Irish. She has an honours degree in Microbiology from the University College of Cork and a Post Graduate Certificate of Education and is certified as a teacher of English as an additional language. She is the teacher of our Year 2 class and is responsible for Science throughout the school.

 

 

 
cristinaCristina Puigdollers Vivet is Spanish. She has four years of experience of Primary schools, including one year in U.S.A. She is a graduate of the University Ramon LLull. Cristina teaches Catalan throughout the school.

Pedro García Rodríguez is Spanish and teaches Spanish throughout the school. Pedro has a degree in Primary Education from Vic University, and also has a degree in Physical Education. Pedro has also studied in Ireland.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Classroom Assistants


aneliAnneli Carlsson is Swedish and comes from Kiruna, the northernmost city in Sweden, well within the Arctic Circle. Anneli is qualified as a teacher and has 12 years experience teaching in Sweden. She has a masters degree in English. This is her second year at ISCAT where she offers learning support throughout the school as well as first language Swedish tuition for our Swedish students.

 

 

 

 

portraitMichelle Dale is the Nursery/Reception class assistant. She is British, educated at Newcastle College where she gained qualifications (NQT) in youth work and Primary education. She is qualified as a teacher of English as an additional language and has worked as a teacher of English in Barcelona.
