The General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (A Level) is a school leaving qualification offered by ISCAT throughout Years 12 and 13. This is a two year study programme and is equivalent to the Baccalaureate.

The A Level programme provides an excellent means for access into world-renowned British and Spanish Universities, as well as other institutions around the world.

Students typically choose four subjects to specialise in but it is not unusual for exceptional students to choose five. During this academic period the students will develop their knowledge, understanding and skills within their chosen subjects. At ISCAT we prefer to have small group sizes, which ultimately provides our students with a more individualised learning experience.

ISCAT is proud to offer a range of academic and creative A levels which not only provides a more tailored learning experience, but also allows our students more flexibility when deciding their university area of study.

Subject choices:

  • English Literature
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Biology
  • Art
  • Psychology
  • Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
  • Business Studies
  • Spanish
  • Drama

Before starting this educational stage, our students will have received advice for their choice of subjects. In addition, our careers team will provide tailored support and continuous guidance in order to help our students find their desired university area of study.

Additionally, our school is officially recognised as a Cambridge and Edexcel exam center, therefore our students are able to take the exams within our facilities.
