In our Year 8 ICT lesson, one of our students took the lead and showed his classmates how to create smartphone apps.
They used “AppInventor”, a software from MIT, which lets you programme apps and games by using a “block-based” programming language.
In this first lesson, we created an interactive app where you can hear funny animal sounds by clicking their picture.
But the best moment of the lesson was when we played the app on our own phones!
