On March, our Year 9 students had the opportunity to participate in a workshop offered by the C17 – Plan Supramunicipal de Prevención de Drogas y Promoción de la Salud, ton the subject of ‘Perfect Bodies’.
Students focused on the reality they see through social networks, magazines, advertisements, learned about the deception and tricks of advertising, demystifying the ‘perfect body’ and current stereotypes in the hope of reducing the influence of advertising on young people, making them aware of marketing ploys and the reality and dangers of taking image too far – in the context of outcomes such as eating disorders and distorted body image.
Thank you @c17pla Supramunicipal de Prevención de Drogas y Promoción de la Salud for providing this much-needed information to our students.
