We know that many of our students and their families have travelled this Christmas to be with family and friends, or simply take advantage of the holiday to discover new places, new adventures, or now that winter has taken hold in Catalonia, to look for a sunnier clime in which to relax and unwind over these two-plus weeks…..
Wherever you are, and whatever you’re doing, we wish you the best for the Christmas season and hope that everyone, no matter what your cultural origin or tradition, has the opportunity to focus on the true meaning of Christmas. We want to make this a time for focusing more on sharing and spending quality time with those we love, and less on the material aspects of the season, when so many of us can quickly become stressed and anxious about the food, the gifts, the visitors, the table…. The lead up to the Christmas holidays has given our ISCAT community the chance through our UNICEF projects to reflect on why we are here and what we are doing about the plight of those who have so little. We are proud of the awareness and endeavour which even our littlest students have shown in preparing for a great Blue Friday and raising almost 1400€ in support for UNICEF, making us once again UNICEF’s number one Winter Appeal school.
As we face into 2020, be it on a beach, on a snowy mountain, or simply at home with all the extended family and friends, let’s be grateful for what we have and what we have been given. May 2020 bring all of us only good things – good health, and sufficient comfort to be able to develop our talents to ensure our personal growth, and the happiness and wellbeing of those we love.
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY 2020 TO ALL!
