Tomorrow the ISCAT community will be celebrating Africa as part of Day for Change and we will be raising money for Liberia. Today, people around the world are celebrating Africa Day in commemoration of the first Conference of Independent African States held in Accra, Ghana on 15th April 1958. The purpose of the conference was to mark the progress of the African liberation movement. It is a day to raise awareness in Africa and African communities worldwide for ongoing progress of the liberation movement and the determination of the people fighting for freedom. Each year there is a focus and this year it is empowering the youth, something we strive to do at ISCAT. We look forward to celebrating the wonderfully rich culture of Africa at tomorrow’s event!
