Four students from Secondary
and A Levels
participated in a Maths Competition, the virtual Puzzle Hunt Competition held by interGIRLS
where they completed various puzzles over the span of three days. It was a fun and exciting experience where they learnt many new skills and ended up placing 11th in the high school division out of the 120 teams
that participated worldwide.
About the nonprofit organization: InteGIRLS is a teen-led organization for girls and non-binary teens to interact with each other whilst pursuing their passions. Their goal is to foster and promote girls’ passion for math and problem solving, an essential part of STEM, and ignite a sense of community for girls in this small yet driven group of people.
Above are some of the puzzles that the girls found most interesting in this maths competition. They were allowed to use the internet and word unscrambles and crossword solvers come in handy! In addition, the lines which explain the situation of the puzzle (underneath the title) are usually what contains the clue. Give them a try, send us your answers, and we’ll let you know if you got it right!
