On Friday 4th May our partners at UNICEF UK came to visit us for an action packed day of football. During the morning our steering group gave our guests a tour of the school and they were extremely impressed by the class charters, committed children and dedicated staff.

The children then created a soccer challenge for the afternoon with our very special guest…Toni Duggan!! Toni is the FCB Femeni and the England national team striker. She had the opportunity to find out more about our work with UNICEF and the dedication and hard work that has gone into the Rights Respecting Schools Award culture.

We were then joined by camera crews from UNICEF UK and Barça TV! This simply added to the excitement and electricity of the day.

All that was left was for the children to get playing! We had many thrills and spills and our children demonstrated their good-natured competitive spirit. After all the only winners that day were UNICEF UK and the children they help all over the world.

We are incredibly proud of our Rights Respecting Schools journey and although this was a fun-filled day, we remain focused on our objective to raise awareness and bring justice to children all over the world, who are unable to enjoy their rights.
