Learning support
At ISCAT, we believe that every student learns differently. Supporting each child as an individual is not an add-on to our educational approach — it is at the heart of what we do.
Our small class sizes and close-knit school community allow us to truly understand each student’s strengths, challenges and aspirations. This means we can offer a highly personalised learning experience, ensuring that every student receives the support they need to thrive academically and personally.
One of our particular strengths is supporting students who join us from different educational systems. Families relocating from abroad, students transitioning from other international schools, or those moving from the Spanish system into the British curriculum often need careful guidance during the adjustment process. With many years of experience helping students navigate these changes, our team ensures that each transition is smooth, structured and successful.

Our teachers work closely with students to identify individual learning needs and provide tailored support where required. This may include additional academic guidance, adapted learning strategies, or flexible approaches to help students build confidence as they settle into the curriculum. The goal is not simply to help students “catch up”, but to ensure they feel secure, motivated and capable in their new learning environment.
ISCAT is also known for its ability to accommodate students who combine their studies with demanding commitments outside school. Some of our students are high-performance athletes or dedicated to professional artistic training such as dance. In these cases, we work closely with families to design flexible learning arrangements that allow students to continue pursuing their passions while remaining fully engaged with their academic education.
This may include adjusted timetables, independent learning plans, or structured academic support to ensure continuity when students need to spend time away from campus. Our priority is always to maintain high academic standards while recognising the unique paths that many of our students follow.
Ultimately, learning support at ISCAT is about partnership: between teachers, students and families. By working together and understanding each student’s individual circumstances, we create an environment where every learner can develop their potential with confidence.
TESTIMONIALS
What our students says
“Training at a professional ballet academy requires a huge commitment. At ISCAT we’ve been able to continue our academic studies while pursuing our dance training at a high level. The school supports us with a flexible schedule and personalised guidance so we can keep progressing in both areas.”

I’m in Year 7 at ISCAT, and I’ve been racing motocross since I was 7. It can be challenging to balance school and training, but I really enjoy both.
ISCAT supports me by being flexible and helping me keep up with my work when I’m competing. I’m proud to have finished 2nd in the Girls’ Championship of Catalunya FCM, and it’s great to have a school that encourages me to follow my passion.

I’m in Year 10 at ISCAT and have been swimming competitively since I was 11. I train eight times a week, so balancing school and swimming can be challenging, but I enjoy every moment.
ISCAT supports me by helping me manage my studies around my training schedule. I’ve competed in the Spanish and Catalonia Championships, and it’s great to be part of a school that encourages me to keep pushing both academically and in the pool.
