School Trips
At ISCAT, learning extends far beyond the classroom. School trips and residential experiences play an important role in our educational approach, giving students the opportunity to explore new environments, build independence and develop lasting memories with their classmates.
Throughout their time at ISCAT, students take part in a wide range of trips that complement the curriculum and enrich their understanding of the world around them. These experiences encourage curiosity, teamwork and confidence, while allowing students to apply what they learn in class to real-life situations.
As students grow through the different stages of the school, the nature of these trips evolves with them.
By the time students reach Key Stage 4 and Sixth Form, trips expand beyond Spain to include visits to major European cities. These journeys offer students the chance to experience different cultures, languages and perspectives, broadening their global outlook and reinforcing the international nature of the ISCAT community.
Across all year groups, trips are carefully planned to balance educational value, personal development and enjoyment. They are often remembered by students as some of the most meaningful moments of their school years.
On this page you can explore some of the many destinations our students have visited over the years. From the mountains and natural parks of Catalonia to historic cities across Spain and Europe, these journeys form an essential part of the ISCAT experience.
In Early Years and Primary, students often take part in residential trips towards the end of the academic year, exploring some of the beautiful natural environments of Catalonia. These experiences introduce younger learners to outdoor exploration, environmental awareness and collaborative activities in a safe and supportive setting. For many students, these trips represent their first opportunity to spend time away from home with their classmates, building confidence and independence.
In Key Stage 3, trips begin to focus more strongly on cultural discovery. Students typically travel to culturally significant cities within Spain, where they can explore history, art, architecture and local traditions. These visits deepen their understanding of Spanish culture and heritage while strengthening friendships and shared experiences within the group.
