Year 7 and 8 students have been diving into discussions about gender stereotypes in PSHE.
Using real-world sources and thought-provoking visuals, they explored how the toys we play with as children can shape our self-image, skills, and even career choices later in life. 🧸🧠
From dissecting gendered marketing to examining career stats and expert opinions, our pupils considered how small everyday influences contribute to bigger societal patterns. 📊👩🔬
This ties in with UN Sustainable Development Goal 5: Gender Equality ♀️✨ as we encourage students to challenge bias, question norms, and imagine a future where all opportunities are open—regardless of gender.
Brilliant conversations and thoughtful contributions all round!
