In Topic Year 6 have been learning about the safety features added to buildings in earthquake risk zones. They split into groups and designed and made their own buildings, adding features that they thought would help make their buildings earthquake proof.
We then tested their buildings under earthquake conditions, from very small earthquakes to large destructive earthquakes, to see how long the buildings would survive before either completely collapsing or showing severe signs of damage.
