⛏️ Today our Key Stage 2 pupils became archaeologists for the day!
Students from Year 3 to Year 6 visited the Archaeological Campus in Palau-solità i Plegamans to take part in the exciting activity “Discover the World of Archaeology.”
During the visit, they explored the fascinating world of archaeology through hands-on experiences, including a simulated excavation where they discovered how archaeologists uncover clues from the past.
Guided activities helped them learn about:
🔎 How archaeologists investigate history
🏺 The importance of historical research
🌿 Why it’s important to respect and protect our heritage and natural environment
Throughout the day, pupils showed fantastic curiosity, teamwork and critical thinking – observing, analysing evidence, forming hypotheses and drawing conclusions just like real archaeologists.
It was a wonderful opportunity to bring history to life through direct experience and spark a love of discovery.
