Our Duke of Edinburgh participants have now all successfully completed their Practice Adventurous Journey in Cingles de Berti, Montseny.
The group headed out for a full day hike in their groups with mountain leader Stepan Prindis and ISCAT staff, Matthew and Erin. The aim of the trips was to test the skills that they have been developing in navigation, tent building and cooking. With lots of laughs along the way and some lessons learnt about adjustments to equipment, our group also took time in their day to learn a number of very useful knots and take in the stunning scenery around them.
The group are now ready to begin their preparations for the Assessed Journey in the coming weeks.
We would also like to take this opportunity to remember Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, founder of the award for young men in 1956, who passed away on April 9th. Since the award was founded in the UK for young men, it has evolved into an inclusive international project which has impacted the lives of millions of young people.
