They explored rhythmic patterns by creating and performing their own sequences using a variety of percussion instruments. Not only did they play their rhythms with confidence, they also represented them through musical figures – developing both performance skills and musical literacy in a fun, hands-on way.
They travelled through sound while listening to “The Whale”, expressing the music with flowing handkerchief movements, and filled the room with energy dancing to “Eo Alohe!” – a clear class favourite! 🌊🎶
To close the session, they shared a beautiful moment of calm, passing the rainstick around the circle and listening to peaceful music to relax and reset.
